“Catherine’s leadership will be instrumental to our clients as we work together to meet the transportation and infrastructure needs of the communities where we work and live,” said Mel Sears, PE, PMP, HNTB Northwest Division President. “She will partner with teams in the region and our firmwide resources to further build on HNTB’s impressive history of client successes and delivering infrastructure solutions.”
Curtis’s 20 years of civil infrastructure experience includes development and implementation of sales and growth strategies for surface transportation, transit, rail, and aviation sectors throughout the U.S. With an extensive civil engineering marketing and business development background, she will partner with operation and project leaders to align company offerings with client needs.
Previously, Curtis served as Director of Strategy and Business Development for a 600-person civil engineering firm, working closely with executive, regional, and office leaders to identify and achieve enterprise-wide strategic growth goals and tactical action plans. She also led development, implementation, and evaluation of firm-wide initiatives, programs, and procedures for business development, marketing, emerging leadership, and internal communications.
Prior to transitioning to corporate roles, Curtis led marketing efforts at a national level for alternative delivery pursuits and, prior to that, led Utah marketing efforts to capture environmental, planning, design, construction management, and design-build projects for the Utah Department of Transportation, Utah Transit Authority, and local municipality clients.
