“We are tremendously proud of our employee-owners who continue to exhibit our core value of safety,” said Jasen Bennie, Sundt Area Manager. “Recognition from the AGC helps to validate our expertise in maintaining a positive safety culture.”
Safety is at the core of Sundt’s culture. The company’s safety framework, Stuff That Can Kill You, identifies the most dangerous jobsite activities, proactively addresses them with employee-owners and craft workers in the field, and provides an improved framework for tracking safety incidents. Sundt has improved its safety results every year for approximately two decades, and today it has one of the best safety records in the industry.
Sundt has been building critical infrastructure across the western United States for more than 130 years. The company is currently working on the new Water Reclamation Facility for Salt Lake City’s Department of Public Utilities, the CL-N1 66″ Parallel Westside Interceptor Pipeline Project for Timpanogos Special Service District in Lehi and Saratoga Springs, and the I-86 & I-15 System Interchange Reconstruction for the Idaho Department of Transportation. It has also won several industry awards for its I-215 and Redwood Road interchange project for the Utah Department of Transportation.
