In his new role, Salyer will serve as a strategic leader for the company’s Southwest region, charged with managing its internal operations and developing new opportunities in the marketplace. He will also work with the Southwest leadership team and AP’s Gulf States, Midwest, and Mountain States regions to bolster the company’s interregional collaboration and overall market strength.
“It’s an exciting time in AP’s long and established history. We’ve been in business for 75 years and maintained a Phoenix office for the last 30 years. Yet, it feels like we’re just getting started,” Salyer said. “Commercial construction is starting to ramp up again in Phoenix, despite high material costs, extended delivery lead times, and labor shortages. AP’s approach as a trusted advisor and not a value builder puts us in a unique position. We’ve always worked closely with our clients to prepare and mitigate these kinds of issues. Now, we’re building out an operations platform to more precisely solve today’s construction challenges.”
In December 2020, Salyer joined AP Southwest as Regional Manager after serving as a Project Executive for AP Gulf States since 2017. He has 19 years of construction management experience and has generated over $1 billion in work across the higher education, health care, K-12, mixed-use, and municipal sectors. Salyer holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management technology from Oklahoma State University.
AP has maintained an office in Phoenix for 30 years, providing construction management services on five micro-hospitals for United Surgical Partners Inc., Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital Phoenix, the Clubs on Grand Recreation Center in Sun City, Cirrus Logic and Acronis office improvements, and 11 construction projects for Honeywell.
