ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Garver continues to expand its presence in the Southwest with the addition of Lidia Cepeda, PE, as Water Team Leader in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With more than a decade of experience and regional roots, Cepeda brings both technical expertise and an understanding of the challenges facing water systems throughout the Southwest.
A graduate of Texas Tech, she began her career in El Paso, Texas, and has since spent the past eight years in Albuquerque, serving clients with water and wastewater projects primarily across New Mexico. Her work has spanned a wide range of clients, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the regulatory, technical, and community considerations that shape successful projects in the region. Cepeda said she is especially energized by the client-facing side of her work.
“I love working directly with clients and being part of the process to help move their projects forward,” Cepeda said. “Each client brings a different experience, but some of the most meaningful work I’ve done has been with tribal communities here in New Mexico.”
Cepeda was introduced to Garver through a former colleague who spoke highly of the firm’s culture, and she quickly recognized it as the right fit. She said that Garver's balance of independence and collaboration stood out as she looked for an opportunity to continue serving the same communities while growing professionally.
