BUTLER, WI — Third-generation leader and Past President Larry Miller is celebrating his 50th year with Kelbe Brothers Equipment Company. Larry's name is featured on a plaque honoring 24 employees who have been with the company for at least 20 years.
Larry's dad, Robert Miller, was one of the founders of Kelbe Brothers in 1953. Growing up, Larry spent Saturdays and summers working at the store in Butler, Wisconsin. When he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1974 with a degree in business, he became a full-time employee as an equipment salesman. He was appointed to the presidency in 1988, and he served for 27 years until his son Jeff Miller (fourth generation) was appointed in 2015. Larry continues to work as a consultant for the company.
Kelbe Brothers was founded in 1953 by Roland Kelbe and Oliver Kelbe, along with Robert Miller. They started as the Koehring excavator distributor. They now distribute Link-Belt excavators, Hitachi excavators and wheel loaders, Takeuchi mini excavators and track loaders, New Holland skid steers and track loaders, Spectra Precision lasers, Pro-Tec trench boxes, and more.
