A new space for the development of innovative, practical, and cost-effective energy and environmental solutions, the MatEx will meet the priorities of the EERC and its industry partners. The facility will feature four demonstration plants in conjunction with a fuels processing area to study scaled processing and production operations. In addition, it will feature a two-story office and locker space to support the research staff and administrators working throughout the EERC complex. Several of the existing EERC buildings will be demolished to make way for the new advanced facility.
“We are honored to continue our years of partnership with the University of North Dakota by helping advance the future of fuels and materials research,” said Travis Sage, Principal for Stantec. “The new MatEx will support the EERC’s need to scale its research of discoveries that will help contribute to a more sustainable future economy.”
