“It is an exciting time to be an Engineer at HGA,” Powers said. “We continue to develop and expand our expertise through a collaborative, interdisciplinary design process to gain critical insight into our clients’ unique needs and goals. This process is a springboard for innovative solutions, enabling us to position HGA as an industry leader. I am excited to lead this dynamic team of experts.”
Powers joined HGA in 2008 as a Mechanical Engineer, quickly advancing to Project Manager and finally Principal responsible for building new business in the engineering group. His expertise includes integrated engineering systems, plumbing, medical gas, and fire-protection systems for health care, education, public, and corporate facilities. He focuses on researching technologies that provide sustainable, energy-efficient solutions.
“Cory is a tireless advocate who brings engineers, architects, and interior designers together to work collaboratively with our construction partners to provide our clients with enduring solutions,” said Scott Lindvall, AIA, NCARB, Chief Operating Officer of HGA. “I am very excited to have him lead our immensely talented engineering group with that spirit and share his expertise in delivering high-performance buildings.”
Powers is a frequent contributor to industry journals and has presented numerous case studies at conferences. He has a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering mechanical systems from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he continues as an adjunct lecturer.
