Working in partnership with the state bridge office, Stantec will complete the preliminary utility coordination and engineering, roadway design, right of way acquisition, support of environmental documentation and permitting, roadway hydraulics, as well as leading the design for the median crossovers.
“For years, our team has supported NDDOT with high-quality engineering services to help meet the needs of the DOT and communities statewide,” said Pat McGraw, PE, an Associate and Senior Project Manager at Stantec. “We’re excited for the opportunity to continue working with the department and build on our record of success.”
Stantec has a long history of providing transportation engineering services to clients in the Midwest. The firm recently designed a two-mile major rehabilitation of ND 17 for NDDOT that included a grade raise of the roadway and stabilization of the shoulders while mitigating impacts to the surrounding wetlands.
In neighboring South Dakota, Stantec is currently supporting the South Dakota Department of Transportation with engineering services to preserve the Keystone Wye Bridges. The assessment and restoration process will protect this iconic gateway to the Black Hills and lay out a path for future preservation.
