2,000 Contractors Attend Wisconsin Construction, Municipal, and Landscape Expo

WEST ALLIS, WI — Around 2,000 contractors involved in road construction or maintenance, landscaping, building construction or maintenance, property management, municipal facilities, safety, and environmental protection recently attended the 2020 Wisconsin Construction, Municipal, and Landscape Expo (WCMLE) to buy equipment, products, tools, and more. The expo was held once again at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin.

WCMLE is an exhibition for and about local users and suppliers. It is a showcase of construction equipment and attachments, forestry equipment, trucks and truck accessories, snow and ice control products and services, commercial mowing and landscape equipment, landscaping supplies, hardscape products, safety equipment, tools, and more.

In addition to the expo, educational sessions were also offered. Casper’s Truck Equipment sponsored two sessions each morning on “The Science of Chlorides” and “The Art and Science of Brine”. The Milwaukee office of OSHA also presented a session on trench safety. TR Miller of Casper’s Truck Equipment spoke about their decision to sponsor the sessions.

“A lot of our contractors as well as municipal customers are asking about the use of liquids to reduce their granular and to reduce their overhead cost, as well as the environmental benefits of using less salt and keeping Wisconsin’s roads safe," Miller said. "Every year that we attend there’s more and more interest.”

Miller said that he plans on doing these sessions again next year.

“Whatever we can do to help share the equipment that we have available and the technology out there in the state as well as the country," he said.

Dena J. Valerian, President of Jewel Expositions, LLC, who puts the show together said she was very thankful for all the exhibitors who contributed to making 2020 another successful year for the WCMLE.

“Their presence and the educational sessions brought in a lot of qualified attendees and decision makers. Many of the exhibitors reported making numerous sales and have already reserved booth space for WCMLE 2021,” she said. “We’re excited about the growth potential for the 2021 show. We will continue to focus on drawing qualified attendees to the show with appropriate educational sessions. Helping connect our exhibitors with buyers will always be our No. 1 goal.”

“We go to a lot of shows and Dena brings in decision makers, buyers — she brings in the people that are truly interested in hearing about your product and learning about the best ways of doing business," said Greg Donovan of Kage Innovations. "We’ll be back every year. I’ve already booked for next year actually.”

“This is by far the best show that I’ve done here, ever," said Rick Holeman of Transport Refrigeration, Inc. "It’s the quality of the people that stop by the booth and what we’ve talked about.”

The WCMLE dates for 2021 are February 10 and 11.
