With an Associate’s of Applied Science from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Sullivan University, Cox found her calling in interior design and project management when she witnessed a family member facing significant challenges before and during ADA compliance became law. From home, school, and public spaces, there were daily navigational trials, which caused her to consider how she could inspire others through design.
Later in her career, and after being part of the creative design process and having leadership responsibilities, Cox combined her interior design skills with project management to create functional and aesthetic designs. She previously served as a business development manager for Allsteel, Inc. where she generated brand awareness in the Kentucky market while working with a variety of commercial facilities to determine the appropriate workplace solutions. Outside of work, Cox is a council member for IFMA Louisville, a member of The Fillies, Inc., and a founding member and current board member of Women Who Wine for a Cause. Some of Cox’s most notable projects include King of Prussia Oncology Center, Hospice of Western KY – Heartford House, The Mansion at Churchill Downs, and Papa John’s Stadium.
“As a designer and project manager, I am thrilled to be working with others to take projects from concepts on paper to completed works of art,” Cox said. “I look forward to helping the firm’s clients create organizational goals by providing education and creating a sense of excitement throughout the process.”
Cox will be responsible for interior design project management for the firm’s K-12, higher education, community, and healthcare studios. By listening intently and communicating throughout the design process, she is determined to improve the Midwest’s built environment.
