ISA – Day at the Track

- Come connect with ISA Wednesday, May 18 for an afternoon of food, and networking. ISA’s Future Leaders Committee is hosting their annual Day at the Track. Come on out and make business connections while enjoying an afternoon at the track. ISA is excited to welcome folks back to the track. ISA is looking forward to spending an afternoon at the hottest place to be during the month of May in Indianapolis – the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Safety Resources – Rigging and Signalperson Course
- May 18, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

- All “Signalpersons” and “Riggers” shall be qualified when utilizing crane operations. OSHA defines qualified as “a person who, by possession of a recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or who by extensive knowledge, training, and experience, successfully demonstrates the ability to solve/resolve problems relating to the subject matter, the work, or the project.” This is a mandatory requirement in accordance with the new crane standard regulations.
- OSHA has made distinct designations with “qualified signal person evaluators” for both in-house and third-party groups. Third party evaluations are transferable from employer to employer and in-house evaluations are specific to that employer and the scope of work they are working under.
- Safety Resources, Inc. is offering a one-day course to train “experienced riggers” in rigging and signaling. This class is designed to provide a more detailed knowledge base for those employees who have some basic experience with rigging and signaling operations but require a more detailed course to be considered qualified. It will also start to prepare the attendees to pass an accredited certification test if he or she chooses to do so.
ACEC Indiana – Engineering Leadership Reunion

ACEC Indiana – Annual Recognition Awards Program

- ACEC Indiana will acknowledge the Engineer of the Year and other special honor recipients. Members of the 2021-2022 Board of Directors and the Engineering Leadership Program will also be recognized as a part of this program. In addition, members of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors will be announced. Cost is $50 for ACEC Indiana members and $150 for non-members. Engineering Leadership participants need not register as their attendance is included with the program fees.
ISA – Open House

- Join the Indiana Subcontractors Association for their Annual Open House, hosted by the membership committee at Victory Field. A picnic will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with the first pitch at 1:35 p.m. The goal of the ISA Open House is to attract new members to the association and welcome the 2022 new members. The event is open to all 2022 new members and member companies. If a member company brings a potential new member, your ticket is free. Please note, due to having to mail the tickets to the customer in advance ticket purchases are nonrefundable.
AIA Fort Wayne – 7th Annual Golf Outing

- The AIA Fort Wayne will be hosting its 7th Annual Golf Outing on June 22 at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne. The goal of this outing is to raise funds for the Fort Wayne Section and to promote the benefits of becoming a member of the AIA. Golfers will be limited to the first 27 Four‐Player Teams. All money raised from this event stays in Fort Wayne to help encourage collaboration amongst industry professionals and provides support for architects in Fort Wayne through fellowship with a goal of advancing the profession. Elements of focus are education, community, training, design, advancement of practice, and coordination with the building industry. A portion of the net proceeds this year will go to support Friends of the Parks of Allen County.
SMPS Indiana – New Member Celebration Event

- Join SMPS Indiana in welcoming new 2021-2022 members. During this members-only event, attendees have the unique opportunity to make one-of-a-kind glass art pieces while mingling with new members. Availability is limited.
ACEC Indiana – Annual Scholarship Golf Outing

- Dye’s Walk Country Club, 2080 South SR 135, Greenwood
- This outing raises funds to provide meaningful scholarships to Indiana students pursuing an engineering degree at an Indiana university or college. There are multiple sponsorship opportunities available to put your firm’s name and services in front of ACEC Indiana membership and clients. Many sponsorship opportunities are available, and sponsors must register by Thursday, June 23 to ensure signage can be ordered. The event will occur no matter what on July 7– no rain dates.
