IFMA Indianapolis – Indianapolis Children’s Museum Tour
- April 11, 8 – 10 a.m.
- The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, 3000 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis
- All facilities have unique challenges but none quite like those of Indy's most dynamic attraction, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. From its on-site paleontology fossil prep lab to the priceless glass sculpture with its own cleaning crew, you won't want to miss this very special, behind-the-scenes tour. IFMA Indianapolis will be hosted by the museum's Vice President of Operations along with its AVP Facility Operations and Production, who will show some of the unusual features of this 490,000-square-foot building and 7.5-acre sports experience as part of the museum complex – and discuss the challenges of running a facility with over 1.2 million visitors a year. The group will learn more about the museum's use of CMMS data, its facility assessment process, an upcoming security-technology review and plan, and how they employ a work-study student to help with asset management tracking.
AIA Indianapolis – April Program: The Iconic Pyramids

- Renowned architects Roche-Dinkeloo & Associates designed The Pyramids for form and function. Tested by time, their original concepts have proven themselves true. During the April program, Linda Scinto, will discuss the masterplan of this iconic Indianapolis landmark. Through her unique perspective as Kevin Roche’s executive assistant and current role as archivist preparing his papers and drawings for transfer to Yale University’s Manuscripts and Archives Library, she will discuss the original plan of this office park located at 3500 Depauw Boulevard on Indianapolis’ northwest side.
SMPS Indiana – What’s on TAP 2023

- This year's theme is "Gather Together for Success." SMPS Indiana will feature four TAP Chat sessions where experts will have a conversation on how Indiana has achieved success coming out of the pandemic and what the plans are to continue that success. Sessions will focus on development, higher education, sports and entertainment, and trails, roads, and infrastructure. SMPS has secured a great lineup of speakers like, Ian Nicolini from Pure Development, Joe McGinness from AveNew, Patrick Talty from Indiana Sports Corp, and Mike Miller from CEG just to name a few. Full speaker line-up will be released soon.

SMPS Indiana – Effective Strategies for Crisis Communication

- During this presentation, Dittoe PR’s Kasie Pieri, Director of Accounts, and Skylar Whitney, Senior Social Media Strategist, will address the following: the importance of crisis communications; how to assemble a crisis communications plan; how to execute the plan when a crisis happens; how to use social media during a crisis; how to use social listening to get ahead of a potential crisis; and strategies for responding to negative comments and reviews.

ACEC Indiana – Engineering Excellence Awards Ceremony Luncheon

- Join ACEC Indiana for its 34th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards Luncheon on Thursday, April 27th. Registration and Networking begins at 11:15 a.m., followed by an awards luncheon and awards ceremony. Tables are normally set for 10 people, but ACEC Indiana can accommodate one to two more if necessary. There are no special prices for a full table, pricing is based upon individuals attending. Dress is professional business attire. Cancellations are required by April 17th in order to avoid charges.

AIA Indianapolis – May Program: A Day at IMS

- All AIA Indiana members and sponsors are invited to attend this program. The event will take place rain or shine. Race cars will be on the track even if it rains. Schedule of events is as follows: 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – AIA Approved Continuing Education presented by Craig Healy, Blue Water Technologies and Chris Susott, Indiana Automotive Equipment (IAE); 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – lunch served, featuring a keynote presentation. 5 p.m. – Pavilion Closes.
