Bayer Becker announced the opening of its fifth office in downtown Indianapolis. The firm has long recognized the potential of the Indianapolis market and has been eagerly awaiting the opportune moment to expand its presence there.
"It's the right time to build on our momentum. There is a similar pace of development in the Indy market that aligns with the strengths of our design staff and the services we provide," said Principal Mike Dooley.
“With our existing relationships in the Indianapolis market and a great deal of opportunity for land development. We really see the potential in a number of growing Indianapolis submarkets that we just couldn’t resist” said President Etta Reed.
This marks a significant milestone for Bayer Becker as its first new office since opening in Over-The-Rhine in 2013. The Indianapolis office will offer a comprehensive range of services including civil engineering, transportation engineering, landscape architecture, and planning. Situated in the iconic Stutz Building at 1060 N Capitol Ave downtown, this location places Bayer Becker at the heart of the city.

“We are genuinely excited about this new chapter for Bayer Becker and look forward to contributing to making Indianapolis a desired place to live, work, and play," Reed said. "If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our expansion, please feel free to reach out to us.”
Bayer Becker also announced the addition of Jacob Roll, PLS, to its associate leadership team. Reed made the announcement, adding that Roll “excels in his work and is a true leader. He consistently exhibits our core values of quality, service, integrity and continuous improvement.”
Chris Gephart, principal and vice president of land surveying, said “Clients, partners, and co-workers recognize Jacob as someone who is a great ambassador for his profession, a great representative for his company, a great surveyor and someone they trust to get the job done right. He has advanced the survey department here far past where I thought we could be and I’m excited to have him lead us into the future.”
Roll began his career with Bayer Becker as a survey field crew co-op in 2012 and now serves as a professional land surveyor, CAD technician, and field crew chief. Relentless in furthering his education, he earned his associate's degree in 2015 and in 2021, he completed his bachelor's degree in land surveying. Roll became licensed as a professional land surveyor in 2023, was named to the associates leadership team in 2024, and continues his pursuit of lifelong learning as he pioneers new technologies in surveying.
Those who have collaborated with Roll appreciate his organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, a quality that proves invaluable given the wide variety of responsibilities he manages. His unique role as professional land surveyor, CAD technician, and field crew chief allows him to truly bring a project from field to finish.
