Class-A Industrial Project Breaks Ground in Melrose Park, Illinois

MELROSE PARK, IL — The Missner Group announces that they have broken ground on the site in Melrose Park. Previously a truck trailer storage and parking facility, the property was sold to Bridge Industrial by a joint venture between The Missner Group and Timber Hill. The new development will feature 186,860 square feet of Class-A industrial space on a 12-acre site in the ever-expanding O’Hare Industrial Market. Serving as the general contractor for Bridge will be The Missner Group.

Neighboring another 1.6 million-square-foot Bridge development, the new property — dubbed Bridge Point Melrose Park II — will feature 36-foot clear heights, two drive-in doors, and 30 exterior docks. Parking will include 221 spaces for cars and 30 positions for trailer storage.

The Missner Group project team will include Senior Project Manager James Howard, Assistant Project Manager Don Hay, coupled with Senior Project Superintendent Dan Zboncak on behalf of the construction team. Vice President of Construction Angelo Christopher will be providing executive oversight. Ware Malcomb provided architectural services, while Jacob and Hefner provided civil and site planning.

“We are excited to be working with, in addition to having established an already excellent rapport with Bridge. Despite new construction, we have continued to see a steady decline in vacancy rates coupled with rent appreciation in the O’Hare submarket and continue to enjoy opportunities to serve the area’s construction and development needs," said Barry Missner, CEO of The Missner Group.

Construction is scheduled for completion the third quarter of 2023. The Colliers team of Tom Rodeno, Matthew Stauber, and Patrick Turner will be directing leasing activity on behalf of Bridge.
