A key member of the firm’s North American Water team, Chelupati provides hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and has experience working with many of the nation’s largest utilities. He has served as the technical lead on projects including combined, separate sanitary and storm sewer modeling, wet weather master planning, and urban flooding mitigation.
Chelupati served as the Senior Engineer for the Clean Water Atlanta Program, a $3.9-billion wet weather control project, one of the largest in the U.S. This comprehensive, long-term plan ensures residents will have access to a resilient and sustainable drinking water supply, as well as clean streams and rivers.
With a passion for engineering and mentoring, you can often find Chelupati working with junior engineers and students, including at the student design competition he started with the Ohio Water Environment Association. He is a board member of the Northeast Section of the Ohio Water Environment Association Executive Committee and also active in the Water Environment Federation.
