LOUISVILLE, KY — Indianapolis, Indiana-based Schmidt Associates has named Sean W. Abercrombie, AIA, LEED AP, to the position of Senior Project Architect/Project Manager for the Louisville, Kentucky, office. Abercrombie is a Registered Architect in the state of Indiana and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

A 1999 graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning, Abercrombie began his career in Indianapolis, Indiana, and spent his first six years there before moving to Chicago, Illinois. Abercrombie spent his next seven years working for Gensler’s Chicago office. In 2012, he moved to Louisville. For the last years, Abercrombie has been working as Project Architect/Project Manager for TEG Architects in Jeffersonville, Indiana. His career has focused primarily on health care, hospitality, and corporate projects.

Abercrombie is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a former President of the Construction Specifications Institute, Louisville chapter.
