COLUMBUS, OH — Chris Haedt, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB, has joined HDR as Health Principal in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, Haedt will lead HDR’s health care architecture practice in Ohio to nurture current client relationships and develop new partners and projects throughout the state.
With more than 20 years of experience, Haedt comes to HDR from DesignGroup. He worked with key clients such as OhioHealth, Norton Healthcare, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

In 2023, Haedt received the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Young Architects Award for demonstrating exceptional leadership and making significant contributions to the architecture profession.

Haedt earned his degrees from Miami University and the University of Cincinnati and is a past Chair and current member of the American Institute of Architects Healthcare Subcommittee in Columbus. He is Co-Chair of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health National Components Council and part of the Healthcare Facilities Symposium Advisory Board. Also, he is a guest lecturer at The Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture and was a mentor for Kent State University’s Master of Healthcare Architecture program.
