CONNERSVILLE, IN — Reid Health marked a milestone for the Connersville, Indiana, community as the doors officially opened for public tours of the new health care campus. Designed and constructed to support the region’s long‑term health care needs, the facility represents a significant investment in accessible, modern care for Fayette County.
Skanska and construction partner on the project, Shook Construction, joined Reid Health leaders, project partners, clinicians, and community representatives for the private grand opening ceremony, followed by public tours, to commemorate the successful delivery of the county’s first new health care facility in 30 years. The health care campus will welcome its first patients this spring.
“This opening reflects years of collaboration, planning, and a shared commitment to improving access to high‑quality care,” said Dan Balow, Account Manager for Skanska. “Working alongside Reid Health and our partner, Shook Construction, we focused on solutions that promote resilience, efficiency, and an atmosphere of healing. We’re proud to help bring this vision to life for the Connersville community.”
The two‑story, 106,715‑square‑foot campus brings together emergency service (including the county’s first helipad in nearly three decades), primary care, 12 specialty practices, laboratory and radiology services, and infusion therapy in one streamlined location. The new facility replaces an aging campus that evolved through a century of additions and renovations and could no longer accommodate the needs of contemporary care delivery.
“Nearly six years ago, we made a promise to this community: that it would have high-quality, sustainable health care in Fayette County for many years to come,” said Ben Wells, Reid Health President/CEO. “In the time since, our team has been hard at work developing and building a campus that fulfills that commitment. We’re excited to unveil this new campus and begin seeing patients here soon.”

"The strong partnerships developed through the design and construction process are exceptional thanks to Reid’s leadership. We’re proud to help deliver a facility that will serve generations to come.”
“This facility stands as a reflection of Reid Health’s leadership and their dedication to providing exceptional care close to home,” Balow added. “It’s an honor to be part of this milestone and to support the community as it begins a new chapter in health care.”
