BLOOMINGTON, IL — This year marks 65 years for Birkey’s Farm Store, which began with a very simple seed — the mechanical ability of a couple of farm boys, and their desire to fix things. This is the beginning that set Birkey’s on its course, growing from one small shop in Fisher, Illinois, to 17 locations and more than 400 employees throughout Central Illinois and Indiana.
Over the years, one thing that has never changed is the appreciation that the owners and employees of Birkey’s Farm Store and Birkey's Construction Equipment feel toward their customers. To show their appreciation, Mike Hedge, Birkey’s President & CEO, and his staff are hosting a series of open houses at all 17 of their locations.
The Birkey’s store in Bloomington, Illinois kicked off the annual tradition as several hundred local customers were treated to a BBQ lunch, Parts Days 2019 specials and equipment displays featuring most of Birkey’s equipment manufacturers (Case Construction, Case IH Agriculture, Wacker Neuson, Stihl, Mahindra, Cub Cadet and more). There were also giveaways and door prizes including parts credit and a grand prize of a 15 percent parts discount through December 31, 2019.
