PITTSBURGH, PA — Michael Baker International announces that the firm has promoted Jessica Belowich, PE, PTOE, to Great Lakes Regional Practice Lead - Transportation. In this role, Belowich will lead the firm's focus on growth in the Great Lakes Region, which encompasses 16 office locations across nine states, including Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

She will actively collaborate across practices and geographies to support Michael Baker's expansion into new markets and clients, enhance existing client relationships, secure new project opportunities, and ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Her focus areas will encompass client and industry engagement, business development, leadership in project capture strategy, regional operational coordination, technical resource planning support, quality control, and financial performance of transportation projects.

Belowich joined Michael Baker as an intern in 2004 and has since held roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as the Department Manager - Traffic for the firm's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office, where she leveraged her experience in both transportation planning and traffic and highway design engineering and management. She also has expertise in traffic operational analysis and alternatives investigation for transportation projects.

Belowich earned a Master of Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania, and Institute of Transportation Engineers.
