COLUMBUS, OH — Bud Braughton, PE, former Senior Project Manager with the City of Columbus Department of Public Service Division of Design and Construction, joins HNTB Corporation as Senior Project Manager in the firm’s Columbus office. Braughton brings more than 30 years of professional experience in project management, electrical and electronic engineering, and railroad signal design and operations.

Braughton will be responsible for leading smart infrastructure projects, especially those involving electric vehicle charging infrastructure. He will deliver projects for clients across HNTB’s Great Lakes Division and support HNTB teams nationwide.

Prior to joining HNTB, Braughton oversaw the Smart Columbus Electrification Program and other major downtown roadway and freeway projects for the city.

Braughton received his Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Franklin University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio.
