BIRMINGHAM, AL — General contractor and construction management firm, Robins & Morton, recently reached a milestone on their office expansion in Homewood, Alabama.

The firm topped out the new three-story parking deck structure at their corporate office location off Shades Creek Parkway. Topping out ceremonies mark the structural completion of a project and in addition to the celebration of the milestone, the ceremony also intends to bring good luck to its future inhabitants.

The deck is the first phase of an overall office expansion effort to accommodate the organization’s recent and projected growth. In its current state, the office houses 100 employees. Overall expansion at Robins & Morton’s Birmingham location is slated for completion in 2021.

Robins & Morton has utilized Birmingham-area trade contractors to complete most of the project with Robins & Morton self-performing the concrete scope. To date, Robins & Morton has poured over 1,250 cubic yards of concrete and tied 120 tons of rebar for the parking deck project.
