Boxold comes to HNTB after five years as Managing Partner at a strategic business and government relations consulting firm in Florida. Prior to that, while serving as FDOT Secretary, Boxold was responsible for leading the agency’s 6,000 employees and managing its $10-billion budget where he oversaw record investment in the state’s highways, railways, airports, and seaports, while implementing the largest work program in FDOT history. Before his time with FDOT, Boxold was Director of Cabinet Affairs for the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, and prior to that he served in the executive office of the governor, and in the governor’s office of policy and budget. Boxold began his career as Legislative Director for Florida Congressman Porter J. Goss.
Boxold is a graduate of George Washington University and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is a member of the board of directors of Floridians for Better Transportation, and a member of both the American Planning Association and the Florida Transportation Builders Association.
