MOBILE, AL — The Mobile Section of the Alabama Associated General Contractors (Alabama AGC) hosted its 24th Annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards at the Country Club of Mobile, recognizing member companies that maintained outstanding safety records throughout 2025. More than 125 industry professionals attended the event, where 32 of the Mobile area’s leading commercial, industrial, and specialty contractors, along with suppliers, were honored for their commitment to safety excellence.

The annual awards program highlights AGC members that have developed and implemented exemplary safety and loss prevention programs. These efforts reflect strong management leadership, comprehensive employee training, and innovative approaches to ensuring safe work environments across the construction industry.

Torrey Garrison of Performance Contractors, who also serves as a Major and Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve, attended the event and commended the award recipients for their dedication to maintaining high safety standards and fostering a culture of accountability in the workplace.

In addition to company recognitions, the Mobile Section presents an individual award each year to a safety professional demonstrating exceptional leadership. This year’s honor was awarded to Connor Cole of Persons Services Corp. for his contributions to advancing workplace safety.
