The Restoration House will be a 46,000 square-foot facility that will include space and services designed specifically for Metro Atlanta women and children. The new facility enables the Atlanta Mission to enhance day and overnight shelter services by 20 percent and create more than 100 beds for clients.
As construction manager at-risk, Balfour Beatty manages the in-kind construction work of subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and other entities who discount their fees, donate materials, and offer pro bono labor for Atlanta Mission’s new day shelter. The collaboration between Balfour Beatty and its partners allows the project to procure in-kind services and materials to support the construction of the Restoration House shelter.
Balfour Beatty’s involvement with the Atlanta Mission spans more than 10 years. The company volunteers their time by preparing meals and raising money for shelter clients and by supporting their operations and maintenance needs. Balfour Beatty recently completed in-kind construction services at My Sister’s House, Atlanta Mission’s 264-bed facility.
Construction will continue until spring 2021 for the Atlanta Mission’s new Restoration House shelter.
