FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Hypower LLC, a specialty and general contractor specializing in commercial electrical and utility infrastructure, announces the promotion of Raymond McCorkel as Chief Executive Officer. With 39 years of industry experience and a track record of leadership, McCorkel is set to guide Hypower into its next phase of growth and innovation.
McCorkel's career is defined by expertise in the power and telecommunications sectors and his executive management, project management, business development, and estimating skills. His comprehensive background encompasses expertise in power and communications construction, utility and outside plant construction, aerial and underground construction, fiber optic networks (including long haul fiber builds and metro builds), ductbank and gas/pipeline construction, homeland security projects, and disaster recovery and restoration.
Since joining Hypower in 2010 as a Senior Project Manager, McCorkel has advanced within the organization, serving as Division Manager (2014), Vice President (2018), Senior Vice President (2022), and President of Utility Infrastructure (2023).
A United States Marine Corps veteran, McCorkel brings a disciplined and mission-driven approach to his role as CEO. His leadership has been instrumental in executing complex infrastructure projects, including Brightline high-speed rail, and overseeing the world's largest shore power initiative at PortMiami.
