ATLANTA, GA — Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric), an electrical subcontractor throughout New England and the Southeast for over four decades, recently completed work on Star Metals Residences in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood. The new, 740,000-square-foot mixed-use development features 409 multi-family units, as well as ground level retail space for both dining and shopping.

Star Metals consists of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, and offers amenities such as a 24/7 café lobby, Starview Lounge, bicycle storage, and fitness center. Standing nine stories tall, the mid-rise building also includes a rooftop swimming pool and grilling area, viewing deck with fire pit, as well as a dog run and dog spa.

The Georgia Griffin team, led by Region Manager Marc McNair, was responsible for installing a full electrical system on-site. Griffin Electric also provided distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, as well as an emergency generator for the new building.

Atlanta-based Juneau Construction Company was the project’s general contractor, while Dwell Design Studio and Jordan & Skala Engineers, Inc., both also of Atlanta, served as the architect and electrical engineer, respectively.
