In this role, he spearheaded design services for some of that company’s most pivotal projects, including facilities for cancer treatment, pediatric nursing, emergency medicine, neurosciences and orthopedics, surgical and interventional, and women’s and children’s healthcare.
“I couldn’t be more excited to lead our firm’s rapidly growing healthcare efforts in Nashville and across the Southeast,” Powers said. “The consistent implementation of advancing technologies and groundbreaking research findings make healthcare one of the most rapidly evolving and exciting markets in the U.S.”
Powers received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Mississippi State University. Since opening its Chattanooga office more than a decade ago, Burns & McDonnell has supported more than 1,000 projects across the state.
