MAITLAND, FL — Matt Kapusta has been promoted to Director of Operations for the Florida Region of Burns & McDonnell. With more than 15 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry, Kapusta will oversee operational strategy, project delivery, and team development, with a continued focus on delivering client-centered infrastructure solutions.
Kapusta has played a central role in expanding the firm’s transmission and distribution operations in Florida, leading a growing team of more than 90 employee-owners focused on delivering power and utility solutions throughout the state.
“Matt has been an outstanding leader, mentor, and driver of growth in our Florida operations,” said Rich Mahaley, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Florida Region of Burns & McDonnell. “His deep technical knowledge, business insight, and unwavering commitment to client success make him the ideal person to help lead us through our next phase of expansion in the region.”
A Vice President within the firm, Kapusta brings a foundation in substation engineering and project management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electromechanical engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing an executive Master of Business Administration.
