TAMPA, FL — Construction firm Robins & Morton joined AdventHealth to celebrate the grand opening of AdventHealth Riverview, the health system’s newest greenfield hospital, marking a significant next step in providing health care for the rapidly growing communities in South Hillsborough County.
The new 282,000-square-foot facility opens with 82 beds, with plans to ultimately expand to 202 beds to meet the needs of the growing community. AdventHealth Riverview provides essential services such as emergency care, cardiology, labor and delivery, as well as bariatrics, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, spine surgery, and more.
Currently, only 60 percent of the hospital is built out to care for patients. The remaining 40 percent will be for future growth, expanding based on the needs of the community.
AdventHealth Riverview is more than a regional hospital — it will be a major job creator, employing more than 2,000 people, contributing to the economic development of South Hillsborough County, and attracting talent to the area.

When it comes to emergency services, AdventHealth Riverview features a full-service rooftop helipad to accommodate AdventHealth AirStar 1, the health system’s newest medical helicopter in the region.
The architect for the project is HuntonBrady. Robins & Morton, the construction firm behind the hospital’s build, has played a vital role in the project’s completion.
