By joining operations, the intent is to focus on the strengths of each company in order to better service current and prospective customers. Combining Florex and MD&B increases the resources and geographic footprint of both companies.

The joint operation will provide improved drilling and blasting safety, technical services, engineering, training, public relations, equipment program, distribution network, and customer service. Operations will continue out of the Brooksville, Florida, headquarters and will be led by Florex Principal Jeff Senules as a key regional leader.

MD&B offers drilling, blasting, and foundation services to construction and quarry markets throughout the Northeastern, Mid Atlantic, and Southeast United States, along with a variety of specialty services including hoe ramming, engineering, public relations, pre-blast surveys, and packaged and bulk explosive distribution. In addition to the corporate office in Gardiner, Maine, MD&B has offices in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia.
