Kramer joined the architecture, engineering, and planning firm as a 19-year-old intern and has held numerous leadership positions — including Vice President of Engineering and OHM's first-ever COO — before being named the firm's youngest President in January 2021. Kramer's appointment to the firm's board of directors in 2009 also made him the youngest board member since the firm's founding in 1962.
"I am honored to take on the role of President in the Michigan Section for a board whose mission I have long admired and loved being part of," Kramer said. "I am excited about the future and hope to continue to uphold the long-standing reputation and accomplishments of the ACEC."
With nearly 30 years of experience, Kramer has overseen OHM's multistate operations, including 18 offices and almost 700 employees. Under Kramer's leadership, the firm substantially and consistently grew both the local client base and firm revenue. As a result, OHM Advisors was awarded the 2020 ACEC/Michigan Firm of the Year designation, which it also won in 2013.
Kramer's commitment to ACEC/Michigan members grew alongside his corporate responsibilities, having served ACEC/Michigan's board of directors in several governance roles before taking the reins as 2023/2024 President.
