WIXOM, MI — The Boldt Company donated $5,000 to Friends of Wayne County to support the annual Heroes on Hines 5K Run/Walk, a community event honoring first responders and helping preserve the Wayne County First Responders Memorial in Plymouth Township, Michigan.
Hosted by Wayne County Parks, the 13th annual event brought together first responders, families, community members, sponsors, and supporters. More than 200 participants took part in the event, with many additional supporters attending throughout the day.
Deputy Wayne County Executive Assad Turfe welcomed participants and supporters before the run/walk began. Proceeds from the event help support the ongoing maintenance and preservation of the Wayne County First Responders Memorial in Hines Park.
"We are honored to support an event that recognizes the courage and sacrifice of our region's first responders," said Michael Webb, Boldt Michigan’s Group Manager. "This memorial serves as a powerful reminder of the men and women who dedicated their lives to serving others, and we are proud to help preserve their legacy."
The Wayne County First Responders Memorial lists 445 police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel from Wayne County communities who lost their lives in the line of duty.
