ANN ARBOR, MI — Engineered Giving named Jaden Rozum as the inaugural recipient of a $3,000 scholarship the nonprofit will award annually to a high school senior or college/vocational student who is pursuing a degree or certification to prepare for a career in the field of heavy lifting and transport industry. The recipient must display a strong sense of service and community involvement reflective of Engineered Giving’s mission to positively impact the communities in which Engineered Rigging’s employees live and work.

Rozum is pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Michigan and will carry on a family tradition of working in the heavy lifting and transport industry. Rozum's grandparents, father, and aunt have grown MSA Delivery Service in Canton, Michigan, from a handful of trucks to 50 trucks, 150 trailers, and 60 employees. The company provides curtainside transportation of over-dimensional and heavy loads.

Rozum is an honors and Dean’s List student. He founded the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and currently serves as its President. In addition, Rozum has volunteered as a camp counselor at Camp Invention, a hands-on STEM experience for children in grades K-6. Jaden will graduate in May 2026.

“At Engineered Rigging, we recognize that people are the heart of our business," said Christopher Cox, PE, President and Founder of Engineered Rigging. "This scholarship will help to develop the next generation of leadership in the heavy lifting and rigging industry. We are thrilled to recognize the hard work and achievements of Jaden Rozum and look forward to seeing his future contributions to our industry.”

Engineered Giving was launched in June to elevate Engineered Rigging’s charitable endeavors and community outreach. The nonprofit’s first grant recipient was the Arkansas River Valley Food 4 Kids summer program, which provides daily meals during the summer months for 1,200 school-age children in need.
