DETROIT, MI — Kimberly Webb, PE, joins HNTB Corporation as the Municipal Transportation Practice Leader in Michigan and Associate Vice President, bringing more than 34 years of experience in managing and successfully delivering complex transportation projects. Webb, who is based in the downtown Detroit office, will focus on growing HNTB’s portfolio of municipal transportation projects and clients in Michigan.

“Kim brings an impressive level of leadership, expertise, and proven industry experience from her time with Michigan DOT that will allow us to optimize and grow our municipal practice more holistically,” said Eric Morris, PE, Michigan Office Leader and Senior Vice President. “Her experience successfully managing complex assets and delivering capital programs will be a major differentiator for HNTB and an invaluable resource to our team and our clients.”

Prior to joining HNTB, Webb was with the Michigan Department of Transportation for 34 years, most recently as Director of the metro region where she oversaw day-to-day operations of the transportation system within Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. In this role, she was responsible for design, construction, planning, operations, ITS, and strategic direction.

Webb is active in the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, currently serving as the Michigan chapter President and Scholarship Committee Chair and is a Board Director of Women’s Transportation Seminar. She is also a board member of the Lawrence Tech University Civil Engineering Advisory Board, Wayne State University Civil Engineering and Environmental Advisory Board, Governor’s Traffic and Safety Council, Oshtemo Township Planning Board, and Detroit Greenway Coalition.

Webb holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Valparaiso University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan.
