LANSING, MI — Voters in local elections across Michigan expressed support for road millages again during the May 3 Election. Voters passed 100 percent of the millage renewals on the ballot, including one increase.

Of the seven road millages proposed for renewal, there were five township and two city-wide on the ballot. One millage increase in Clearwater Township, Kalkaska County, also passed.

“Voters have once again demonstrated that road improvement and maintenance are top priorities,” said Denise Donohue, Director of the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan. “County road agencies appreciate community support for millages that will improve the local county road and bridge network.”
