CHICAGO, IL — Burns & McDonnell announces three key leadership appointments in the Great Lakes Region.
Tim Faber has been promoted to General Manager of the region, which includes offices in Chicago, Illinois; Downers Grove, Illinois; Lexington, Kentucky; Southfield, Michigan; and Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, he will guide more than 750 professionals who provide engineering, procurement, construction, environmental, and consulting services to clients across a variety of industries. His role will be effective January 2026, following the retirement of Mike Folta after 31 years with the firm.
Burns & McDonnell also promoted Tony Nalli to Regional Group Manager for Transmission & Distribution and promoted Bryan Haas to Regional Group Manager for Aviation & Federal.

Faber will lead the Great Lakes Region following his tenure leading the region’s Transmission & Distribution Group. In his prior role, he managed a 300-plus person organization that achieved remarkable growth and success over more than a decade across Chicagoland, Detroit, and Lexington.

He joined Burns & McDonnell in 2007, and throughout his 18-year career with the firm has held a number of roles with increasing responsibility in Transmission & Distribution, including Electrical Engineer, Design Engineer, and Project Manager.

Faber earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Oral Roberts University.
Nalli joined Burns & McDonnell in 2015 as a Substation Engineer supporting the Transmission & Distribution group. Since then, he has gained experience across all aspects of the practice, developing an understanding of client needs that drives results. Most recently, he served as Director of Accounts for the Chicago office, supporting enterprise clients and fostering long-term partnerships.

As Vice President and Regional Group Manager, Nalli will play an integral role in expanding the firm’s transmission and distribution capabilities and client partnerships. His experience as a leader of multidisciplinary teams, mentorship of emerging professionals, and strategic guidance will be instrumental in advancing client success both within the Great Lakes Region and across the firm.

Nalli earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University.
Haas joined Burns & McDonnell in 2005 as an Electrical Engineer. He has held Project Manager roles leading complex design and construction projects across sectors, including the Department of Energy, airports, airlines, pharmaceuticals, utilities, and manufacturing.

Haas has more than 20 years of industry experience at Burns & McDonnell and has experience delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. As Regional Group Manager, his project execution expertise will help support the growth and success of Aviation & Federal.
