DETROIT, MI — The Associated General Contractors of Michigan (AGC of Michigan) has elected Darren Murray, Principal, Executive Vice President of Novi, Michigan-based DeMaria Building Company as Chairman of the association’s board of directors. AGC is Michigan’s full-service association for commercial building construction firms.
“I am honored and grateful to help lead this great association over the next year," Murray said. "As the other association leaders before me, I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help direct Michigan's premier construction organization, representing the best Michigan's construction industry has to offer.”
Murray, a 30-year veteran in construction, joined DeMaria in 1994. He manages all company operations including their concrete group (DSP Constructors). Murray holds a construction management degree from Michigan State University and is also a trustee for the Detroit Laborers Pension Fund.
Serving alongside Murray as 2025 officers of the AGC of Michigan are Vice Chairman Brad Kimmel of Commercial Contracting Corporation in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Treasurer Dan Coffman of Miller Davis Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
