DETROIT, MI — The Boldt Company received Gold in the Outstanding Safety Performance Award category from the Association of General Contractors of Michigan (AGC of Michigan). The award recognizes the Southern Operations Group for its consistent safety performance and zero recordable incidents throughout 2025.
AGC of Michigan’s annual awards celebrate the state’s construction projects and industry leaders. Winners of the Outstanding Safety Awards are selected based on each applicant's incident rate, calculated by multiplying the number of recordable cases by 200,000, then divided by the total work hours a firm generates during the award year.
The Boldt Michigan team’s rigorous safety policies and ongoing staff development helped produce a strong safety record. By embedding leading practices into its daily operations, the company continues to reduce workplace incidents and promote safe job site practices.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the AGC of Michigan for this award,” said Luke Whitmore, Regional Safety Director for Boldt. "Safety is not just a priority at Boldt, but a core value that is woven into everything we do. Earning this award reflects the shared commitment by all our employees to work safely every day.”
The Boldt Company’s safety culture stems from consistent internal communication and positive recognition of safe acts by employees. The team’s annual internal Safety Excellence Award allows all employees to nominate peers whose actions or characteristics demonstrate their commitment to Boldt’s safety culture.
