As a Project Director, Mandadi will be responsible for providing leadership for projects and programs with local and regional clients including the Washington State Department of Transportation, Sound Transit, Port of Seattle, and others. He will serve as Deputy Engineering Resource and Design Manager for WSDOT’s Fish Passage Program, which reconnects streams and restores fish habitat to maintain a healthy waterway ecosystem.
Prior to joining HNTB, Mandadi oversaw transportation infrastructure planning and design projects of various scales, encompassing highways, fish barriers, bridges, and light rail systems. His experience spans a range of project complexities, from small-scale initiatives to multi-billion-dollar programs.
Mandadi has a track record of managing, mentoring, and nurturing teams of planners, engineers, and environmental staff. He has also played pivotal roles in programs with a wide range of total installed costs, ranging from $125 million to $7 billion.

Mandadi received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Osmania University and has a Master of Science in transportation and highway engineering from West Virginia University as well as a Master of Business Administration from Ohio State University. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington and Ohio.
