Lynde has spent his career with ODOT, starting as a College Intern in 2001 and working his way through various agency positions, from research to project delivery, budget and finance, to active transportation. Most recently, he served as the interim D&O Division Administrator, and prior to stepping into that role was the division’s Deputy Administrator. During 2020-2021, he led Oregon’s Wildfire Debris Management Task Force, an interagency team charged with the unprecedented task of helping Oregonian’s clean up and rebuild after the 2020 Labor Day wildfires.
“Mac brings with him a tremendous breadth of experience across ODOT and a reputation of collaboration and thoughtful leadership,” said Cooper Brown, Assistant Director for Operations at ODOT. “His years of public service and, most recently, his work to help Oregonians recover from the Labor Day wildfires shows his dedication to this state and to the mission of helping its people thrive.”
The Delivery and Operations Division is ODOT's most visible arm, spread across Oregon with engineers, road crews, and an array of other disciplines in charge of building and maintaining the state’s transportation system.
