SEATTLE, WA — As Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) sets a new annual passenger record with over 52.6 million travelers in 2024 — surpassing its previous record in 2019 — the Port of Seattle continues to invest in enhancing the passenger experience. PCL Construction Services, Inc. announces it has been awarded a general contractor/construction manager contract with the Port of Seattle for the new shared-use lounge on the A Concourse, also known as the Club at SEA.
The 14,000-square-foot premium lounge will sell day passes to the public, offering all travelers the opportunity to experience upscale design, locally inspired food and beverage offerings, private restrooms, high-speed connectivity, business amenities, and flexible seating areas. PCL’s scope of work includes a full interior buildout — encompassing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, casework, flooring, and architectural finishes.
“We’re honored to continue supporting the Port of Seattle’s vision for modern, accessible travel,” said Tyler Kautz, Vice President and District Manager for PCL. “With more than 60 successful projects completed at SEA — including several premium lounges — our team understands the complexities of working in operating airport environments and remains dedicated to delivering high-quality results while minimizing disruptions to ongoing airport operations."
With a portfolio of over 500 completed aviation builds valued at more than $20 billion, this awarded contract adds to PCL’s decades-long legacy in the sector. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2025, with completion anticipated in the fall of 2026.
