Vovakes was most recently Operations Manager, and since joining Swinerton in 2011, he has been instrumental in increasing Swinerton's health care footprint and provided leadership to expand the office's existing target markets in Seattle.
"We will focus on smart, organic growth, so we don't lose that touch of family atmosphere, but we can branch off into some diversified markets and have a nice portfolio of work," Vovakes said. "We have a great culture in Seattle. There are a lot of smart, fun, engaged people. We want to keep that strong culture but improve some of our processes to continue pushing our industry-leading services."
Under Vovakes’ leadership, the Seattle office will look to continue its momentum with mass timber while also growing its presence in the health care market and expanding into the life sciences sector. Self-perform remains a significant focus for the division and will be critical to its future success.
