DENVER, CO — Rick Goodmay, the Director of Client Relations at Industrial Constructors/Managers, Inc. (ICM), a Colorado-based industrial contractor, was recognized as this year’s recipient of the Colorado Thought Leaders Forum (CTLF) HEART-Level Leadership Award. The award is given each year to an individual who has served the CTLF community and embodies the CTLF values of HEART-level leadership: humble, engaged, authentic, regenerative, and true to service.

Goodmay was honored at CTLF’s annual holiday gala, where several members of the CiviCO/CTLF community were recognized with HEART-Level Leadership and Leadership Ignition awards. Honorees were nominated by members within the CTLF/CiviCO community, which include over 500 leaders and active alumni from the private, civic, and nonprofit sectors.

As Director of Client Relations at ICM, Goodmay is the first point of contact for new clients, helping determine how ICM can best serve their needs and ensuring those needs are met. Goodmay is heavily involved in a number of industry associations that advocate for a robust construction industry, including the Associated General Contractors of America’s Colorado Specialty Contractors Council and the International Association of Baggage System Companies, and he regularly gives back to the community through initiatives focused on childhood education and advocacy. This includes donating time, money, and expertise toward Food for Thought, Wish for Wheels, and Junior Achievement, as well as volunteering at local high schools to increase awareness of the benefits of a career in construction.

“Rick shows up as his authentic self every day, is always checking on people personally and professionally, and brings his skillset and historical knowledge to the table to find solutions for his clients and other businesses around him,” said Morgan Endicott, Business Development Executive of NowCFO. “He is the ultimate connector who wants to see people succeed and win. He truly cares about people and doing the right thing and is a prime example of what leaders need to be doing today.”

“Rick always keeps the focus on the mission at hand and on serving the community,” said James Gurule, Executive Risk Advisor of IMA Financial Group. “He is transparent and truly himself in every interaction, he goes out of his way to make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome, and is always willing to make new introductions for people. He is by far one of the best leaders in CTLF and embodies everything this award recognizes — genuine and authentic with a servant’s purpose.”

"Rick is one of the most genuine and generous leaders I have met,” said Xan Pearson, CEO Emeritus and Board Chair for CTLF. “He selflessly reaches out to see how he can help CTLF and other leaders within the community. Whether it’s providing introductions to help expand their networks, mentoring, checking in on someone who is struggling personally or professionally, or organizing a community event to support a cause, he embodies what it means to be a HEART-level leader. Whether you are an emerging leader or a CEO, Rick wants to know what you need and how he can help.”
