PHOENIX, AZ — Sundt Construction has promoted Melissa Love to Preconstruction Manager for Sundt’s Southwest Building Group. With nearly 15 years at Sundt and over two decades in the construction industry, Love has built her career on advancing preconstruction systems, strengthening client relationships, and mentoring future leaders.
“Melissa has consistently demonstrated the technical expertise, leadership, and innovation needed to lead our Southwest District’s preconstruction efforts,” said Stewart Grauer, Senior Vice President and Southwest District Manager. “I know she will continue driving excellence for our clients and supporting Sundt’s future growth.”
Most recently, Love served as Preconstruction Project Manager, leading early project planning and client engagement across the Southwest, most recently for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s T3 Residence Halls and Strategic Academic Flight Education Building. She has also served as Project Controls Manager, driving innovation in preconstruction technology and improving collaboration among clients, architects, and Sundt’s project teams.
Love began her career as a Project Engineer before transitioning into preconstruction, where she spent over a decade as an Estimator. She contributed to major projects across the Southwest, including the Union Tempe and the Pima County Public Service Center.
Love succeeds Rich Gohl, who retires after more than 38 years in the construction industry, including 13 years with Sundt. In addition to his leadership in Sundt’s Building Group, Gohl has been a leader and supporter of the ACE Mentor Program of America, the American Subcontractors Association, and the Sundt Foundation, reflecting his commitment to workforce development, trade partner engagement, and building stronger communities.
