ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Garver has a new addition to meet the growing demand for water services in New Mexico. Alan Shubert joins Garver as a Senior Project Manager to continue Garver’s work in New Mexico and establish a Garver office in Albuquerque.
Shubert has a background in project engineering and construction management on both sides of the fence. Earlier in his career, Shubert spent 14 years as a Senior Construction Engineer in the petroleum refining industry for projects across the nation. Now, after eight years as Vice President of El Paso Water and 11 years working at the City of El Paso as City Engineer and Director of Engineering, he is transitioning to a new role. With his decades of experience in El Paso and beyond, Shubert has an understanding of the southwestern region and the client perspective.
“Having worked in the public and private sector as well as construction and fabrication, Alan brings a unique perspective to Garver," said Tina Hanson, Garver’s West Texas Water Business Team Leader. "We’re excited to see the positive impact he’ll have on our team and the communities we serve."
Although Shubert spent a majority of his career in El Paso, New Mexico is familiar territory for him. He was born and raised in northeastern New Mexico, and said he is eager to connect with local clients. With over 30 years of experience as a client himself, Shubert understands firsthand what clients want and the challenges they face.
