Since 2010, McCarthy’s Renewable Energy and Storage group has completed more than 48 utility-scale clean energy projects in communities across the country, delivering a combined capacity of more than three GW of clean energy production and over 320 MW of energy storage. Nationally, McCarthy provides engineer, procure, construct (EPC) services on utility-scale solar projects for private solar developers and utilities, helping them deliver cost-effective clean energy to the communities they serve.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional as well as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Arizona Builder’s Alliance Leadership Development Forum, the Associated General Contractors of America, and leads McCarthy’s relationship with the Solar Foundation.
Patel earned a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University (ASU), and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ASU.
Nayan Bhakta is promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction. Bhakta has worked both domestically and internationally, designing and constructing large petrochemical projects. He joined McCarthy’s Renewable Energy and Storage group in December 2014 as a Preconstruction Manager and has supported the pursuit and preconstruction efforts on more than 1.6 GW of projects, including the largest energy storage project in the world. Bhakta’s focus on process efficiency and client engagement has been instrumental in positioning McCarthy’s Renewable Energy and Storage group for success. In his new role, he will be leading the preconstruction and estimating efforts, including identification of best value designs and solutions for clients.
Bhakta earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona.
