PHOENIX, AZ — Sundt Construction’s Transportation Group recently added Design Manager Paul Dickman. Dickman will support project pursuits and ongoing alternative delivery projects, beginning with Sundt’s I-10 reconstruction project between Kino Parkway and Country Club Road in Tucson, Arizona.

“With over 38 years of extensive experience in civil transportation engineering, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his role,” Sundt Senior Vice President Travis McCarthy said. “Paul’s background and proven track record of success is an asset to our team and clients.”

In his nearly four decades of experience, Dickman has acted as Area Manager, Design Manager, and Project Principal, among others. His expertise spans the entire project lifecycle — from proposal through construction — and includes managing multi-discipline transportation projects such as freeways, highways, streets, and rail systems.

Most recently, Dickman served as Design Manager for the I-405 Widening and Express Toll Lanes project in Washington, where he oversaw engineering services and technical advisory support for a 14-mile design-build initiative.

Dickman also held the role of Project Principal for the Gila River Indian Community’s Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project, overseeing design and engineering services, and served as Major Task Manager for the California High-Speed Rail Authority, managing civil infrastructure for the first segment of California’s high-speed rail system.
