The groundbreaking ceremony included remarks from Ridgeview College Preparatory School Leader Dr. Melanie Larson, The Leona Group Chief Operating Officer Michele Kaye, and The Leona Group Founder Dr. William Coats.
“Schools like Ridgeview College Preparatory High School provide students in the East Valley with additional, high-quality choices within the public education system,” said Scott Salyer, Regional Manager for AP. “Adolfson & Peterson Construction has a long history of working with Arizona charter schools, and we’re excited to partner with The Leona Group to construct this state-of-the-art high school campus.”
Ridgeview College Preparatory is a tuition-free, nonprofit public charter high school that seeks to help students in the San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Florence, and Mesa communities get an early start on college, trade school, or other forms of career-focused, relevant learning. Once complete, the 37,000-square-foot campus will feature a regulation-sized gymnasium, science labs, technology-rich classrooms, and indoor/outdoor learning spaces that provide students with comfortable, flexible, and student-focused environments.
“Ridgeview College Preparatory builds upon our 20-year track record of helping every student redefine what is possible for their future through the transformative power of education,” said Michele Kaye, Chief Operating Officer of The Leona Group, which manages the school. “We are breaking ground on more than a building — we are joining with our community in investing into the lives and futures of our young people.”

Ridgeview College Prep is currently enrolling grades nine through 11 for the 2021-2022 school year, and 12th grade enrollment will begin in 2022.
