Gonzalez has nearly three decades of construction experience managing design-build, design-assist, and traditional construction projects servicing multiple industries, including life science, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, power, hospitality, health care, high technology, and higher education. He has guided more than $805 million in design-build projects to date.
Under Gonzalez’s leadership as Chair of the Arizona chapter of DBIA (a role that he assumed in January 2019), the chapter has:
- Developed an active core group with cross-discipline representation
- Rekindled the connection to students with stimulating programs
- Challenged the education curriculum
- Achieved 2020 certification attendance that was the largest ever held in Arizona
- Started a Young Professional chapter and explore an Owner’s Council
Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Arizona State University. He holds positions on numerous external boards and associations, including the Industry Executive Committee for the ASU Del E. Webb School of Construction, Chair of the DBIA Arizona Chapter, Board Member of DBIA Western Pacific Region, Proposal Review Committee Member for the Society of College and University Planning, and Board Member of the Maricopa Community College Foundation. In addition, he holds LEED accreditation and certification as a DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional.
